CHAVEZ ACURIO, Anthony Isaac and LIMA ROJAS, Dayamy. Depresión, ansiedad, estrés y funcionalidad familiar en adolescentes de una unidad educativa de Guayaquil. Rev Eug Esp [online]. 2023, vol.17, n.2, pp.33-45. ISSN 2661-6742. https://doi.org/10.37135/ee.04.17.05.
This research aimed to analyze the depression, anxiety, stress, and family functionality in adolescents of an Educational Unit in Guayaquil, province of Guayas, Ecuador, in February 2022, in which 218 students participated. The study was classified as non-experimental, explanatory approach, and cross-sectional. The data was obtained from the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and the Family Functioning Questionnaire FF-SIL, previously applied by members of the Student Counseling Department. The results showed that 17.9% expressed moderate stress, 17.9% moderate depression, and 30.3% extremely severe anxiety. The correlation between family functionality and depression, anxiety, and stress dimensions was statistically significant (. = 0.000), inversely proportional, and moderate intensity. In addition, it was established that the status of the first one was predisposed to that one of the three dimensions.
