Abstract

DARIEL, González,  and  ISABEL, González, Ana. Influence of Constraints in the Synthesis of a Model-Based Predictive Control. Rev Politéc. (Quito) [online]. 2023, vol.51, n.1, pp.29-44. ISSN 2477-8990.  https://doi.org/10.33333/rp.vol51n1.03.

Model-based predictive control (MPC) algorithms are widely used methods in the industry due to their advantages in the design of multivariable systems with the inclusion of restrictions. The approach of this work is applied to control an agitated pond and a distillation column, MIMO systems (multiple input multiple output), focusing on working with the constraints of the controlled and manipulated variables and their influence in temporal response specifications. A comparative study of the behavior of the predictive control system with different restrictions is presented.

Keywords : MIMO systems; MPC control Constraint management.
