Abstract

The agricultural and industrial sectors are of vital importance to the Ecuadorian economy. Throughout the years the agricultural sector has been the economic support of the country, until the 1970s Ecuador was characterized by having agriculture as a base prevailing about 30% of GDP, then as the years have passed the birth of the industrial sector began in order to seek new income alternatives for the country, so, under this context this research aims to conduct an economic analysis on the development of the Agricultural and Industrial Sector of Ecuador in the period from 2000 to 2018, for this two analyzes are raised a macro and then a micro analysis; the macro analysis of the agricultural and industrial sector worldwide presents a historical study of both sectors and the importance they provide to the economy and the analysis of the micro environment addresses the agricultural and industrial sector. In order to fulfill the objective, a quantitative approach methodology of descriptive type was carried out by means of statistical data. As a conclusion, it was determined that the sector with the highest income contribution has been the Industrial sector since its beginnings, where it has proven to be the turning point for the country to be immersed in the development path.
