Comics, with their visual content, act as a social learning tool and a teaching instrument capable of molding or influencing the thinking of citizens. The objective of this research is to analyze the contribution of comics to the reinforcement of collective imaginaries in the population of Manabí-Ecuador. The methodology was mixed, with the use of tools such as the survey and multimodal analysis applied to the images selected for the study. Comics produced in Ecuador and in other foreign (global) cases were analyzed and how the images, messages, sequences and comics that are part of the structure of animation leave imprints that guide the social life of the viewers. The influence of the characters, their roles and stereotypes was evident and how these reflect and embody social experiences that are discriminatory, exclusive and disconnected from reality.
