The Revista Andina de Educación provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The Revista Andina de Educación adheres to the Open Access model in which the contents of scientific publications are available in full text free of charge on the Internet, without temporary embargoes, and whose costs of editorial production are not transferred to the authors. This policy proposes breaking down the economic barriers that generate inequities both in access to information and in the publication of research results.

The Revista Andina de Educación does not charge authors any fees for submitting articles or for their processing (Article Processing Charge-APC). All content is available for free at no charge. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without prior permission from the publisher or author. This definition of open access is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
