Collaborative work has become a valuable strategy to generate meaningful learning in a constantly changing world that directly affects education. Therefore, the study aimed to reflect on the current educational context to apply collaborative work as a strategy for meaningful learning of English in Peruvian students. As for the methodology used, it was a reflective type review study, in which dialectics was used as a method of knowledge construction, using a total of 24 articles that were selectively chosen in the databases Elsevier, Web of Science - WoS, Scielo, Redalyc, and Google Scholar. The reflection presented was based on the following study topics: a) Peruvian Educational Portrait; b) The Challenge of English in Peru; c) Educational Collaboration: More than Teamwork; d) Meaningful Learning: The Meaning of English; e) Innovative Methods: Collaboration in the English Classroom; f) Towards a Collaborative and Meaningful Education in English. The conclusions highlight that collaborative work in English learning not only improves students' language skills but also contributes to their social and emotional development.
