This research aims to analyze the scientific production on tourist leisure according to the Scopus database in order to identify the main lines of research that have been addressed. The study was based on a literature review and was carried out in three stages: search and bibliometric processing of scientific information; selection of articles for content analysis and content analysis of the articles. The Biblioshiny application of the RStudio Cloud package was used to process the information, which facilitated the visualization and exploration of the data. Bibliometric indicators were calculated to evaluate the relevance and impact of academic publications in the subject matter in question. As results, it was determined that the main lines of research are tourist behavior with leisure activity motivation, leisure tourist experience and leisure activities based on tourist modalities or attractions. The field of study analyzed has not been treated much in the field of scientific research, so its linkage with current tourism trends constitutes a research opportunity.
