This research aims to analyze the perception of different stakeholders involved in the pre-professional practice of students from the Special Education program at the National University of Education (UNAE), Ecuador, in both regular and specialized education settings. The methodology was based on a mixed approach using surveys and interviews with interns, professional tutors, and university tutors. The results were encouraging regarding the implementation and evaluation of the practice; tutors positively valued the interns’ commitment and dedication and highlighted the importance of teamwork and the need for continuous improvement in teacher training within inclusive contexts. Meanwhile, the interns felt that the experiences gained significantly contributed to their professional skills, and they appreciated the training and support received, considering pre-professional practice a key element in teacher training.
