There is a current need to understand entrepreneurship as a means of identifying trends and guiding future research. The objective of this study was to analyze the scientific production on entrepreneurship in the Scopus database during the period 2011-2021. A total of 4,245 articles were collected from the Scopus database through a systematic keyword search and filters using the prism method. The bibliometric analysis was carried out using the open access software VosViewer and Bibliometrix R. As a result, trends were characterized, predominant authors were identified, countries with implications for the development of entrepreneurship, as well as evidence of compliance with Lotka's law in scientific production. The analysis showed a trend towards entrepreneurial ecosystems; It was also found that entrepreneurship is linked to innovation and the countries that stand out globally are the United States and China; while in the Hispanic world it was Spain and Mexico. Finally, evidence was found that entrepreneurship promotes the economic development of societies, particularly those that require a sustained economic boost.
