The native stingless Geotrigona bees of the tropical region play an essential role in the pollination of crops and native plants in Ecuador. However, factors such as deforestation, climate change, and intensive land use have reduced their population. In this context, this research aimed to analyze the behavior of these bees in their natural environment to promote their conservation in the Eloy Alfaro parish of the Chone canton. A deductive approach was used, with direct observations, automated monitoring, and statistical analysis of environmental variables. In addition, the transect technique was applied to study the associated flora. The information obtained will allow us to define the optimal habitat and contribute to the design of local conservation strategies. The behavior patterns of Geotrigona bees are strongly influenced by time of day and temperature, with foraging activity peaking at midday. The availability and diversity of vegetation directly affect their foraging activity, being higher in areas with more plant cover. Important connections were found between the environment and behavior. Trends were noted that indicate a direct relationship between plants and certain behaviors, which warrants further investigation.
