Resumen

A photovoltaic system with a solar tracker was developed to supply the basic energy needs of an academic laboratory, guaranteeing a two-hour autonomy with its maximum operational capacity without solar radiation. Technical requirements were established and an operation and maintenance manual were prepared. The SGDA and STA equipment was selected to operate in manual or automatic mode and a solar tracker was integrated to maximize energy collection. From the tests carried out, its reliability was determined, presenting an autonomy of 4 hours and 20 minutes using the same charging time in low radiation conditions. In addition, the implemented SGDA represents a savings of 48,57% compared to a similar commercial system. It is concluded that the developed system is competitive and presents better characteristics than the commercial alternatives, besides it can be replicated to supply energy deficiencies in several academic areas.
