The construction industry uses increasing volumes of aggregates and fresh water in the production of concrete, with the consequent impacts on the environment. The total or partial replacement of these two resources by water and sea sand can be a feasible solution to the problem. The present research studied the influence of the use of water and sea sand on the properties of concrete at early ages. Concrete density and consistency in the fresh state were evaluated; and density, ultrasonic pulse speed and compressive strength in the hardened state, with 50% and 100% replacement of crushed sand by sea sand, always using sea water. The results allowed to conclude that the properties of concrete with sea sand do not present statistically significant differences with those of the control concrete, highlighting the best results with a 50% replacement.
