Normalmente se usan los términos productividad, eficiencia y eficacia, indistintamente, pero son distintos unos de otros. La productividad surge cuando las actividades y recursos destinados al proceso de transformación logran agregar valor en los resultados derivados. La eficiencia, es un componente de la productividad y está relacionada con la utilización de los insumos durante el proceso de transformación, y la eficacia se refiere a la corrección y mejora de la producción, es decir, mayor cantidad o calidad de salida. Al momento de realizar evaluaciones de productividad, eficiencia y eficacia, es importante entender que son conceptos relativos, es decir, que se debe realizar una comparación con algún referente o &#8220;standard&#8221;, el cual puede estar determinado por un competidor o una unidad de producción referente, o por la medida de los cambios generados en el tiempo de la misma unidad de producción.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Essentially, the productivity of an organization is defined as the ratio between the outputs produced and the inputs used. Usually the terms productivity, efficiency and effectiveness are used interchangeably, but they are different from each other. Productivity arises when the activities and resources destined to the transformation process manage to add value to the derived results. Efficiency is a component of productivity, it is related to the use of inputs during the transformation process, and the effectiveness refers to the correction and improvement of production, namely, higher quantity or output quality. when conducting evaluations of productivity, efficiency and effectiveness, it is important to understand that they are relative concepts, that is, that a comparison with a referent or standard, which can be determined, both by a competitor or a related production unit, or by the measure of the changes generated in the time of the same unit of production.]]></p></abstract>
