<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.senescyt.gob.ec/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2477-91052019000100064&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.senescyt.gob.ec/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2477-91052019000100064&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.senescyt.gob.ec/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2477-91052019000100064&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN En el área del petróleo una de las principales tareas consiste en separar el agua y gas del crudo, en el presente trabajo se hace un análisis del proceso de separación en un separador de prueba trifásico de petróleo instalado en él oriente ecuatoriano para determinar la eficiencia de separación que se obtiene bajo las mismas condiciones de operación cuando se utiliza instrumentación de diferente tecnología. Para obtener datos en la investigación de campo se plantea hacer pruebas en el vessel con fluidos de cinco pozos de diferente caudal y con grado API que oscilan entre 18° y 30°, para lo cual se hacen dos tipos de pruebas en el separador, la una con un medidor de interfase de boya instalado dentro del recipiente y la otra prueba bajos las mismas condiciones de operación se utiliza un instrumento de onda guiada. Para determinar la eficiencia de cada método utilizado se analiza la cantidad de partículas de agua en crudo en la línea de descarga con pruebas en laboratorio, es así que se verifica que al utilizar el instrumento del tipo boya el BSW promedio en la línea de descarga es de 70% mientras que con el instrumento de onda guiada los resultados son mucho más satisfactorios con BSW promedio de 8%.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In the area of oil one of the main tasks consists of separate water and raw gas, from the crude, in the present work an analysis of the separation process is made in a separator of three-phase oil test installed in the Ecuadorian orient to determine the efficiency of separation that is obtained under the same conditions of operation when using instrumentation of different technology. In order to obtain data in the field investigation, it is proposed to test the vessel with fluids from five wells of different flow and with an API grade ranging between 18º and 30º, for which two types of tests are done in the separator, the one with a buoy interface meter installed inside the vessel and the other test under the same operating conditions a guided wave instrument is used. To determine the efficiency of each method used, the amount of raw water particles in the discharge line is analyzed with laboratory tests, so it is verified that when using the instrument of the buoy type the average BSW in the discharge line is 70% while with the guided wave instrument the results are much more satisfactory with an average BSW of 8%.]]></p></abstract>
