Métodos: Se realizó una revisión de revisiones, mediante la guía The Joanna Briggs Institute. La recopilación de la información se la realizó en el segundo semestre del año 2023, mediante las bases de datos: Medline, Scopus y Web of Science, por título, considerando los documentos desde el año 2013 al 2023, que muestren alguna asociación entre los términos MeSH utilizados, que incluyeron: &#8220;medical education&#8221;, &#8220;simulation training&#8221;. En la identificación, tras la búsqueda realizada se localizaron 1713 artículos, en el cribado se cuenta con 711 artículos, en la evaluación para elegibilidad con 78 artículos, para finalmente, incluir 9 artículos útiles para esta revisión, en donde se evidencia que los estudios revisados indican que la simulación clínica mejora significativamente las competencias técnicas y no técnicas de los estudiantes de medicina, así como, reducir errores y mejorar la retención de conocimientos. La simulación clínica en la educación médica, esta soportada pedagógicamente, en donde, se estimula el aprendizaje significativo para alcanzar las competencias establecidas]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of the research is to determine the effects of clinical simulation in modern medical education through a review of reviews. Methods: A review of reviews was carried out using The Joanna Briggs Institute guide. The information was collected in the second half of the year 2023, using the following databases: Medline, Scopus and Web of Science, by title, considering the documents from 2013 to 2023, which show some association between the MeSH terms used, which included: &#8220;medical education&#8221;, &#8220;simulation training&#8221;. In the identification, after the search performed, 1713 articles were located, in the screening there are 711 articles, in the evaluation for eligibility with 78 articles, to finally include 9 articles useful for this review, where it is evident that the reviewed studies indicate that clinical simulation significantly improves the technical and non-technical competencies of medical students, as well as, reduce errors and improve knowledge retention. Clinical simulation in medical education is pedagogically supported, where significant learning is stimulated to achieve the established competencies.]]></p></abstract>
