Este estudio realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura científica publicada entre 2010 y 2024, con el objetivo de ofrecer un panorama amplio sobre la gobernanza y gestión del agua, enfocándose en aspectos como actores clave, roles, principios de la OCDE y resultados en la gobernanza hídrica. La investigación siguió la metodología PRISMA, estableciendo criterios de inclusión (publicaciones en español e inglés, indexadas en bases reconocidas, accesibles en texto completo, artículos científicos, en el rango de 2010-2024) y criterios de exclusión (publicaciones anteriores, en otros idiomas, no indexadas, no accesibles, no científicas, o que no abordaran las temáticas específicas). La selección de los 32 estudios se realizó mediante una búsqueda en Google Académico y otras bases, usando palabras clave relacionadas con gestión y gobernanza del agua, en ambos idiomas. La técnica principal fue el análisis de contenido, a partir del cual se extrajeron e interpretaron las principales categorías temáticas. Los datos se organizaron y visualizaron gráficamente con Microsoft Excel, permitiendo identificar tendencias, brechas y relaciones relevantes en la gestión del recurso hídrico. Así, la metodología empleada combina un diseño de revisión sistemática, criterios claros de selección, técnicas de análisis cualitativo y herramientas gráficas para sintetizar la información obtenida.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Sustainable water resources management presents a global challenge that requires integrated and participatory approaches. This study conducted a systematic review of scientific literature published between 2010 and 2024, aiming to provide a comprehensive overview of water governance and management, focusing on key actors, roles, OECD principles, and governance outcomes. The research followed the PRISMA methodology, establishing inclusion criteria (publications in Spanish and English, indexed in recognized databases, accessible in full text, scientific articles, published between 2010-2024) and exclusion criteria (publications prior to 2010, in other languages, not indexed, restricted access, non-scientific documents, or not addressing specific thematic areas). The selection of 32 studies was performed through searches on Google Scholar and other databases using keywords related to water management and governance in both languages. The primary technique employed was content analysis, from which main thematic categories were extracted and interpreted. Data were organized and visually represented using Microsoft Excel, enabling the identification of trends, gaps, and relevant relationships in water resource governance. This methodology combines a systematic review design, clear selection criteria, qualitative analysis techniques, and graphical tools to synthesize the obtained information.]]></p></abstract>
