Abstract

BLAS ZEVALLOS, Estefany Cleanth  and  CRIOLLO PAREDES, Jheolby Isaac. Nivel de conocimientos en la prevención de anemia en adolescentes. Rev Eug Esp [online]. 2023, vol.17, n.2, pp.57-66. ISSN 2661-6742.  https://doi.org/10.37135/ee.04.17.07.

Lack of knowledge in adolescents about the best ways to prevent anemia can affect their health. This research aimed to analyze the level of knowledge about preventing anemia with sociodemographic characteristics in 120 adolescents at the National Educational Institution for Women Dos de Mayo, Peru, 2021. The methodology considered a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, and correlational scope. Data were collected using an objective test with 13 items. Spearman's Rho test made it possible to significantly relate the level of knowledge with the age group (.=0.004); In addition, significant differences were observed between school grade and religion (.<0.05). Regular and low levels predominated in the knowledge measured, as well as the participants aged between 11 and 13 years, those in the fourth year of secondary school, and those who processed a religious faith based on Christianity.
