The role of the family is fundamental in the formation of the personality of individuals, in which the development of social skills begins through interaction with other members. This study aimed to establish the correlation between family climate and social skills in students at the Carlos Cisneros Educational Unit, Riobamba, Ecuador, during the first quarter of 2022. The research was developed with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, and correlational scope. The 187 adolescents older than 15 years of age were included in the population. The data were collected through the Family Climate Scale and the Social Skills Scale. The average category predominated in the dimensions of family climate, relationship (62.6%), and stability (66.8%), while in the development dimension, the scores were low (44.9%). Most participants had a global evaluation of social skills in the values of medium-high and high (54%), the low level being predominant in all its factors. In the research environment, the Rho figures showed the absence of a statistically significant correlation between family climate and social skills.
