Leishmaniasis is an infectious disease caused by a protozoan of the genus Leishmania. Leishmaniasis constitutes a significant health problem for various regions of Latin America. The social isolation imposed because of the COVID-19 pandemic favored a decrease in the incidence of this entity. However, regular social activities were gradually resumed, imposing the corresponding monitoring and control measures.
