Depressive disorder in adults is a serious health problem that affects the individual and their social environment. In this regard, the nursing intervention is of great importance for recovery, which warranted a bibliographic review using reliable sources published on the Internet. The corresponding activities must be aimed at reducing symptoms, by establishing a therapeutic relationship, individualized, comprehensive, and based on nursing models as a guide for the development and application of the Nursing Process as a scientific method.
