Management skills strategies refer to the planned and effective application of leadership, decision-making, innovation and resource management skills in order to optimize school direction. The objective of this article was to theoretically analyze the strategies of managerial skills of managers in the improvement of management in educational institutions. A bibliographic review was carried out, using the search engines Scopus, Scielo, Web of Science and Google Scholar, according to predetermined inclusion criteria. The results allowed to select twenty-five (n=25) documents for the review. The bibliographic analysis allowed to analytically discern the perspectives of the directors on the strategies of managerial skills from the educational management. It is concluded that management skills strategies represent a fundamental pillar for the progress and effectiveness of educational environments, revealing itself as a key factor to achieve the essential objectives and policies of educational institutions.
