This article addresses a topic of singular importance, both for society and for the entities in charge of security and the administration of justice; in general, crime is understood as an illicit act, contrary to the law and causing harm to the person who suffers it; Specifically, the so-called crimes of greater psychosocial connotation, among which are robbery of persons, theft of vehicle accessories and auto parts, motorcycle theft, car theft, home robbery, robbery of economic units and rape; criminal actions in constant increase in the different territorial circumscriptions of the country, causing a feeling of insecurity, and, in turn, the taking of measures by society in order to achieve citizen security. The proposed objective of the research was to analyze crime, among them, those of greater psychosocial connotation in Ecuador. The research methods used in its relevant part refer to the qualitative, quantitative, descriptive and bibliographic, which allowed a review of documentary and statistical data related to the object of study and its corresponding interpretation through statistical figures. The study period focused on the years 2019 - 2021 in the province of Tungurahua.
