Abstract
ACOSTA RIVERA, Galo Fabián. Resonant inverter for energy saving in a magnetic induction water heater. RCUISRAEL [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.1, pp.23-42. Epub Apr 07, 2019. ISSN 2631-2786. https://doi.org/10.35290/rcui.v6n1.2019.68.
The heating by magnetic induction has been successfully implemented in processes for annealing ce- ramic pieces, surface hardening, melting, hot forging, welding, among others, thus demonstrating its versatility and effectiveness. In this article the design and construction of a prototype heating for water pools by magnetic induction is detailed. Its operation is based on a quasi-resonant inverter responsi- ble for generating high frequency electromagnetic waves, which induce high value parasitic currents that produce the heating of ferromagnetic elements close to the induction coil. The contribution with this research is the study of the energy consumed and the time spent at different power levels.
