Resumen

CARRASCO MEDINA, Janny. Copyright and the Internet: the death of the principle of lex loci protectionis. RCUISRAEL [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.2, pp.25-38.  Epub 10-Ago-2019. ISSN 2631-2786.  https://doi.org/10.35290/rcui.v6n2.2019.55.

With the presence of the Internet, access to culture, cultural diversity and copyright have been affected at the level of private international law. The existing legal reality causes a transnational legal frag- mentation in the area of copyright that limits the circulation of judicial decisions in the extraterritorial context of the internet. Issues such as the principle of lex loci protectionis, choice of forum, jurisdiction and applicable law are removed from the dynamics of copyright on the internet. International private law needs to reformulate the issues of transnational copyright litigation on the internet.

Palabras clave : copyright; internet; cultural diversity; intellectual property; lex loci protectionis..
