The research aimed to determine the incidence of eucalyptus ash on the mechanical properties of the mortar used to set handmade bricks, for which a quantitative quasi-experimental approach methodology with an applied type and an explanatory level was used. The population consisted of 36 cube samples, 36 rectangular samples, 4 walls and 4 prisms of mortar, which were tested in the laboratory both for the standard sample and for those with additions with percentages of 1%, 3% and 5% of eucalyptus ash. The results with the 1% addition showed a notable improvement, since it was superior to the other additions in all the tests carried out. Finally, it was concluded that the addition of eucalyptus ash had a positive influence on the mechanical properties of the mortar.
