Abstract: Since its beginning, Fuzzy logic has shown its usefulness in different areas of knowledge; for the particular case of process control, from the construction of process models to the design of advanced controllers, it has proven its effectiveness and importance on industrial applications. This work presents a guide for studying systems based on fuzzy logic for process control, starting from the origins, theoretical foundations, and a guide for constructing some loop controllers implemented on a benchmark plant.
