This paper analyzes the remedies established by the Ecuadorian competition authority in the compulsory administrative procedure initiated by Anheuser-Bush InBev SA/NV in Ecuador due to its merger with SABMiller plc. In order to carry out this analysis, the decision of the national authority will be compared with what the doctrine has expressed regarding concentration remedies and with the conditions imposed by other competition authorities on the brewing giants prior to their concentration. Thus, it will be possible to conclude whether the remedies established by the Ecuadorian authority are consistent with international standards and decisions and, if there is a lack of coherence, whether it is harmful or not for the development of competition law in the country.
