Abstract

ROSES, Rodolfo; CARESTIA, Dario  and  GIZZI, Guillermo. Implementation of EMS Applications in a Subtransmission System. Revista Técnica energía [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.2, pp.19-28. ISSN 2602-8492.  https://doi.org/10.37116/revistaenergia.v16.n2.2020.349.

The tasks performed for the implementation of EMS Applications in a Control Center of a subtransmission and distribution electrical company in the voltage levels of 132 kV and 33 kV in Argentina are described. In the Control Center it is desired to supervise up to the 500kV voltage level in equipment of neighboring electrical companies.

The implementation is carried out through the ProSOL System, which provides a platform for managing a real-time database that integrates EMS Applications into SCADA systems in Control Centers of Transmission and Subtransmission Electrical Networks, and aims at monitoring tasks and safety evaluation of the operation in real time. In Study Mode various tasks are performed for the generation and tuning of the database; the analysis of the measurement topology and the adjustment of electrical parameters.

The difficulties of the implementation are presented and recommendations are given to facilitate this type of task in Control Centers.
