CUSANGUA CISNEROS, Yéssica Ximena et al. Aprovechamiento del gas asociado en plataformas petroleras, caso de estudio campo Sacha. Figempa [online]. 2021, vol.12, n.2, pp.26-36. ISSN 2602-8484.  https://doi.org/10.29166/revfig.v12i2.3090.

Ecuadorian’s Amazon region in several oil well PADs the associated gas is burned causing environmental problems, socio-environmental conflicts, loss of energy and uncontrolled emissions CO2. The objective of this study was to take advantage of gas to generation electric energy from any oil PAD in which optimization is required. The study case was for the Sacha field located in the Ecuadorian’s Amazon, through the change operating parameters, for the management of gas from an oil PAD to production station using the available artificial lift system. Through the collection of information on the reservoir, design of installed electrosumersible equipment and surface facilities two simulation scenarios were established. In the fist scenario, current bottom and surface designs were adjusted according to the required pressure in each oil PAD. In the second scenario by means of hydraulic sensitivities, adjustment, and redesign of electrosumersible equipment, the hydraulics were carried out by defining the new pressure value required in each oil PAD and with this pressure value each of the designs of the electrosumersible pumps was adjusted. For the gas coming through the annular space, it was considered to compress it, redirecting it to the production line with the new pressure required. The volume gas advantage was the 2.006 MSCFD for a period of 6 years, there would be a saving of $ 5’935.120 in electricity generation and the sale of carbon credits stopping 241.121 tons of CO2.
