Abstract

DELGADO VELASCO, Santiago Fernando et al. Metodología para estimar indicadores claves de rendimiento en operaciones de perforación mediante análisis estadístico univariante. Figempa [online]. 2021, vol.11, n.1, pp.68-75. ISSN 2602-8484.  https://doi.org/10.29166/revfig.v11i1.3117.

Key performance indicators play an important role in drilling operations since they facilitate the evaluation of their performance between wells with similar characteristics. Using the information from the wells drilled between 2015 and 2019 in eastern Ecuador, a methodology has been established to estimate key performance indicators by collecting qualitative and quantitative data from the final drilling reports. The present work compiles the information from the final drilling reports of 275 of the 699 wells drilled during the mentioned time interval, to establish standard data and behavior patterns during drilling operations in order to optimize future projects; To apply the methodology, the R Studio program was used, which has the necessary tools for statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis, without the volume of data being a limitation, facilitating the graphic interpretation of the behavior and variability of the data. The results of this research can be used as a reference in the planning of new wells with similar characteristics, as well as in the construction of new key performance indicators.

Keywords : key performance indicators; descriptive statistics; drilling; exploratory data analysis; univariant.
