Of producers of medicinal plants JAMBI KIWA is a company non-profit, whose object is the production of aromatic herbs tea, clumps to 600 families in 62 communities in Chimborazo province. They currently work with 40 varieties of medicinal plants, aromatic and condiments, marketing aromatic and medicinal tea towards the foreigner, and must meet high standards of quality to compete and stay in the market, must obtain organic BCS Oko GARANTIE certification at the level of the cropping fulfilling bromatological, microbiological, organoleptic characteristics that ensure quality and safety for human consumption. Processes are redesigned to optimize the good practices of manufacture (GMP), with an initial diagnosis (dryers, drying, mill and reciprocating sieve process areas) to determine the amount of product, the working time of teams and the organoleptic characteristics of the final product; checking in the pre drying process simulation tests (variables: temperature, time and moisture) requirements of the aromatic plants to improve quality, redefining an air extraction system, to reduce pollution of particles of low weight, to meet the technical safety regulations and hygiene of the National Institute of standardization of the Ecuador.
