Medical cannabis in Colombia finds various inequities to enhance the industry that faces significant challenges in supplying the demand. Therefore, this research aimed to identify the panorama of medical cannabis for integrated rural development, starting from the analysis of the production chain. A methodology of quantitative approach of descriptive type was implemented, with a deductive method; the instrument called INOPO ECCI was designed and validated, which identifies opportunities and incidences of medical cannabis from perspectives: legal, economic, social, and environmental. A sample of 66 growers, producers, and marketers was applied. In conclusion, the panorama of medical cannabis can enhance public policies addressing the country's conditions, promoting and creating opportunities in various economic sources for sustainable development.
