Abstract

NIETO CUADRADO, Fabricio Xavier. Microenterprises Credit operations in Ecuador, prior to the Sanitary Emergency. Podium [online]. 2021, n.39, pp.37-52.  Epub June 28, 2021. ISSN 2588-0969.  https://doi.org/10.31095/podium.2021.39.3.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the behavior of credit portfolio operations to microenterprises in Ecuador during the period from March 2019 to February 2020, in order to determine at least one policy that allows the economy to be efficiently reactivated; the research was of a quantitative nature, using data collection as the measuring instrument; this was achieved through the review of articles, books ranging from 1993 to 2020 and data from national and international public organizations during the study period. The outcome reflects a moderate delinquency index behavior; political events, however, deteriorated economic activities, altering this indicator. It is concluded by indicating the need to implement financial mechanisms with parameters that adjust to the reality that Ecuador is currently experiencing, such as credit restructuring, which allows stabilizing both credit issuance and delinquency rate.
