AREVALOS, Valeria. Feminine monstrosity and the agency of the body in the feature films India (1960) and Embrujada (1976) by Armando Bó and Isabel Sarli. Ñawi [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.1, pp.21-31. ISSN 2588-0934.  https://doi.org/10.37785/nw.v9n1.a1.

The article reviews the configuration of the desiring woman (maternally and sexually) proposed by two feature films directed by Armando Bó that present elements of horror-fantasy, India (1960) and Embrujada (1976). Taking as a starting point the figure of the vampire in the first one, and a mythological being of regional folklore -the Pombero- in the second one, these productions stress the place of the racialized woman who has become an object, imposed by the white patriarchy.
