Audiovisual production involves hard work and economic investment. It is difficult to create audiovisual products that contribute to local culture, and this is due to several factors. The main one is the aforementioned economic factor, which makes it difficult to hire professionals; in addition, access to technology and mobilization is limited. The objective of this article is to identify the production of audiovisual content that contributes to enriching local culture and its media. The methodology used is qualitative, and a case study of the program “Costumbres de mi tierra” (Customs of my land), broadcast on community television in Latacunga (Ecuador), which has developed authentic and representative audiovisual content, creating 381 reports that have helped to make local culture visible.
