ADLER, Jazmín. Art and Engineering. Models of collaborative work in Argentina and the United States during the 1960s. Ñawi [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.1, pp.59-80. ISSN 2588-0934.  https://doi.org/10.37785/nw.v8n1.a4.

This paper addresses the central role played by the convergence of art and engineering during the sixties of the last century, with the aim of examining the models of collaborative and interdisciplinary work promoted by different institutions of the time. Through qualitative research that comprised the study of various documentary sources, the article argues that the socio-political contexts that encouraged such disciplinary confluences from the joint work between artists, engineers and scientists, were quite different. In order to analyze these differences, the paper focuses on two case studies: Experiments in Art and Technology (E.A.T.) in the United States and the Center for Art and Communication (CAyC) in Argentina.

Palavras-chave : Technological arts; science; collaboration; interdisciplinarity; intermediality.
