Resumen
VILLAVICENCIO, Cristian y GARCES RUIZ, Mónica. Myco Resilience Fiction project. Speculations on art, mycology, and mycorrhizae. Ñawi [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.2, pp.141-157. ISSN 2588-0934. https://doi.org/10.37785/nw.v7n2.a8.
This article makes an approach and contextualizes the relationship between art, science, and technology through a hybrid writing between these three fields, and contextualizes the Myco Resilience Fiction project as a case study. This work developed in collaboration between researchers from the laboratory of mycology from the Université catholique de Louvain and artists from the University of the Arts presents the symbiosis as a close relationship between two or more organisms, characterized by mutual benefit. The arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), which are obligate symbionts that need plants to fulfill their life cycle are presented here. The two-handed writing of this article also presents a form of symbiosis in the production and meditation on the project. From this point of view, it is an example of divergent writing that transcends the disciplinary format. It is proposed that the human being can learn from the interactions and exchanges for mutual benefit that occur at the microscopic level.
