ENGERT, Valeria; REVELLI, María Luz  and  FERRERO, Franco Lisa. On Divergent Academic Writing. Literature and Audiovisual Transposition. Ñawi [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.2, pp.69-79. ISSN 2588-0934.  https://doi.org/10.37785/nw.v7n2.a4.

This study explores divergent academic writing in relation to the fields of literary and image studies. Reading and responding to narratives in the context of the English Literature classroom as Foreign Language at Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto (Argentina) tends to prioritize argumentative essay writing as the privileged genre for critical reading response. The proposal in this paper introduced was conducted as an extension project that had as a main objective thinking on other ways to critically comment on literary pieces. The junction between word and image gave way to a writing project with transposition at its center that materialized in the audiovisual production of a short movie as film adaptation.

Keywords : English as foreign language; images; words; adaptation.
