Abstract
QUEZADA VERA, Cristian Ángel. Street Art in Interculturality: an artistic and pedagogical experience in a Kichwa community of Ecuador. Ñawi [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.2, pp.289-308. ISSN 2588-0934. https://doi.org/10.37785/nw.v6n2.a16.
This paper explores and analyzes an artistic experience in a Kichwa-speaking community belonging to the Saraguro nationality, in southern Ecuador; in which I participated through an artistic workshop of street art, structured in three phases: socialization, drawing and mural painting. This workshop was held with students from the "Tupak Yupanqui" school, in the Oñacápac community; with those who explore notions about Kichwa philosophy and language; and made it possible to make an artistic and pedagogical assessment of cultural perspectives; through aesthetics of street art applied in the assembly of a school artistic mural. There is also an exploration of the intercultural concept, based on its historical transit in the Ecuadorian indigenous context, its influence on the educational field, and its encounter with the theme of street art in the configuration of strategies for the preservation and strengthening of cultural practices and knowledge of the Saraguro people.
