Abstract

VIRUEZ FRANKLIN DE MATOS, Yanet Aguilera. The film does not belong to its director. Ñawi [online]. 2021, vol.5, n.2, pp.243-256. ISSN 2588-0934.  https://doi.org/10.37785/nw.v5n2.a14.

We will analyze the film Llucshi Caimanta with the aim of discussing indigenous problems, in the cinema and in the historical militant movements of the subcontinent. A striking example of how the past is embedded in the present, this film makes us feel how the extractive imperialism interferes in a sinister way in our destiny. These images produced in the past, contemporary with us, make us think about why we are still vilified and robbed.

Keywords : Cinema; Amerindians; politics; militancy; Ukamau; Sanjinés; Bolivia; Ecuador..
