Abstract

FALCONI, Yolanda; VILLAMARIN, Roberto  and  HIDALGO, Mariela. STRATEGIES FOR CREATING GRADUATE PROGRAMMES IN THE UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE CHIMBORAZO. Revista Chakiñan [online]. 2023, n.20, pp.71-90. ISSN 2550-6722.  https://doi.org/10.37135/chk.002.20.04.

This paper describes the practical processes and/or procedures that allow generating a relevant graduate programme. This manuscript also aims to disseminate the strategies generated and applied in the Graduate Department of the Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo to create graduate programmes. This research pursued a qualitative approach and was developed in two moments: 1) a systematic literature review, and 2) action research using focus groups. These two moments gave rise to seven applied strategies, which permitted to generate a suitable academic graduate programme. In applying these strategies, a total of 38 master's programmes were created, between October 2018, and April 2021.

Keywords : Higher education; relevance; graduate programme.
