This paper presents a bibliographic review of studies/works/experiences of researchers in the field of humanities with the aim of (re)visiting the production of knowledge and professional practice through topics of archaeological interest (such as stratigraphy; space and the exercise of power ; materiality of places and objects; histories of human populations, socio-cultural dynamics, territories; people/individuals (producers), craftswomen(men), technical-bodily), guided by questions of theoretical- methodological/interpretive models, entangled in a Latin America´s history. The methodology is related to ethnographies/reports/discourses on the position of the body of the archaeologist, and other researchers in relation to their field, permeated by the theory of science/knowledge, and from individual experiences associated with a historiographical context. of the formation of people/professionals in different Brazilian horizons. At the end of the text, a contribution to the historiography of the Brazilian archaeological practice is expected, for political/empirical reasons. Attention is drawn to the complexities of its current potential for new scientific thinking (or not) and for new archaeologists.
