Resumen

MUNEVAR-SALAZAR, Alejandro  y  BERNAL, Julio. CROSSED BREEZES: A COMPARED ANALYSIS OF POPULAR REPRESENTATIONS OF THE WIND IN COLOMBIA AND FRANCE. Revista Chakiñan [online]. 2021, n.14, pp.14-30. ISSN 2550-6722.  https://doi.org/10.37135/chk.002.14.01.

This article presents a comparative analysis of the wind's representations in the linguistic and ethnographic atlases of Colombia (ALEC) and France (NALF). This work's background is made up of all the studies related to the climate's cultural conceptions in a climate change context. Climate change is considered a global phenomenon; this work aims to identify similarities and differences between the wind's cultural representations in both countries. A total of 69 maps of the Nouvel Atlas Linguistique de la France par Régions (NALF) and 17 maps of the Atlas Lingüístico-Etnográfico de Colombia (ALEC) were used for the comparison. The ALEC's sound archive, transcribed and available until 2019, was also used for the analysis. The compared information was linguistic (linguistic variables) and ethnographic (sayings, songs, narratives, and accounts). Results show some similarities in how the wind is conceived as a cultural concept that organizes the peasant's everyday life in different ways. It is considered a temporal, spatial, and cultural deictic that gives sense to the social and natural surroundings.
