Abstract
NAVAS, Alegría; NARANJO, Christian and NARANJO, Andrés. CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES OF NON-VIOLENCE. Revista Chakiñan [online]. 2020, n.11, pp.135-146. ISSN 2550-6722. https://doi.org/10.37135/chk.002.11.10.
Christian principles of non-violence are built up through four indispensable ideas: the existence of the oppressor, the existence of the oppressed, non-violent methods and the idea of justice. These ideas are contextualized within a biblical review of nonviolence, trying to elaborate a theological foundation on which nonviolence is based on. The biblical review was developed through the analysis of dialogues between Jesus and Pontius Pilate, Paul´s letter to the Romans, and Daniel´s book, in this way, a coherent interpretive structure of the interpretative space of civil disobedience may be generated.
Keywords : Christian principles; philosophy of non-violence; civil disobedience.
