The present exploratory-descriptive study purpose to know the contribution of the Spanish emigrants in the productive sector of Santiago de Guayaquil and artistic of Santa Ana de los Cuatro Ríos de Cuenca between the years 1900-1960. The main objective is the interpretation of the social phenomenon occurred through the narration of the protagonists or family of a specific historical moment of globalization. The methodology used is the life history using a snowball sampling. It is evident that although the influx of Spanish migration in this period of time to Ecuador was scarce, it had an important economic and social impact on the cities analyzed.
