It is an observational, descriptive, longitudinal, prospective study in the central consultation service of Acupuncture at Andean Hospital in Riobamba City, from January to December 2016. The purpose was to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficacy of Auriculopuncture in the treatment of patients with stress and anxiety disorders. The universe and sample consisted of all the patients (n = 127) who came to central consultation with the established diagnosis. Results showed that the majority of the study group were women between 41 and 60 years old who arrived at the service without remission, who most frequently presented alterations of the cardiovascular and osteoarticular systems, as well as emotional changes. After 12 weeks-treatment, these patients showed a satisfactory improvement (93%). The results obtained evidenced the effectiveness of this non-conventional treatment. It was concluded that auriculopuncture is an alternative treatment for stress and anxiety, because of the positive and proven effective tests, which favorably affects the quality of patients’ style of living.
