CASTELLANOS, Leonardo. RURAL DEVELOPMENT: CASE VEREDA REQUILINA IN THE LOCATION OF USME, BOGOTÁ COLOMBIA. Revista Chakiñan [online]. 2017, n.1, pp.93-100. ISSN 2550-6722.
The present document intends to approximate what in Latin America has been manifesting itself as development, seen from a regional perspective that incites to the epistemological construction from the base processes; in addition, it aims to envision the construction of decentralized, cultural and environmental social fabric, with tools of the rural population, which uses daily and with which land, territory and identity are claimed. Thus, one of the actions that are in line with rural development are the agro-tourism practices of the peasants of La Requilina, a village located in the town of Usme in the city of Bogotá; A particular case where important factors of citizen participation, public management and social and rural development are triggered, which allow the creation of new actors committed to the claim of peasant identity, the promotion of new food markets and the legitimation of rural territory in the Fight against urban sprawl. The systematization of experiences demonstrates each of the processes started in 2010 in the processes of rural community tourism, in order to obtain a livelihood of community work within the academic and knowledge generation.
