The aim of this paper was to improve reading and writing skills of students of business administration from the Uniempresarial Bogotá, Colombia. A qualitative methodology was used through a documental method of reviewing with matrices. The results demonstrate that the motivation for readings from their interests, with the road map discipline, and make the process mediated by the teacher in each class, substantially improved the reading and writing process in students who participate. In the same way, the inquiry of reliable bases recognized by Science, Technology and Innovation Business Department (Colciencias) and visualization of the processes concerning research profiles pages increased. Without omitting the institution empowerment as a catalyst of change and generator of the most competitive human talent given by the Colombian labor market demands.
