It is commonly believed that Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca died in Seville, however, there is no documentary evidence to support that assertion. On the contrary, there are a number of other documents that say he died in the city of Valladolid. Something similar happens with the "Prohemio" of his Comentarios, being notorious the difference style and lexicon with the rest of the book.
