The present article states the research findings and contributions when evaluating the development of the literacy project, in addition to reflect the impact in the reduction of the indexes of illiteracy in a specific region of Guaranda Canton, Bolivar province. The evaluation model is intended to reflect the obtained results of the literacy project, in addition of promoting this model for future investigations, where there is foreign participation, taking advantage of the experience of other countries in adult education as it is the Cuban case, more adapted to the Ecuadorian context, specifically Bolivarian. For the effect, the program contextualizes the themes to study, in terms of the ethnic and cultural diversity of the zone; a problem-solving method is established to work with the participants, resources are developed in order to have material for each one of them during the learning process and training is developed with the staff of the program. Correlational, exploratory, descriptive and explanatory are the levels of this investigation.
